Paintings, Drawings, Photography
Seeing my current and past artwork together on a website confirms a consistent vision I have always had in my mind's eye. That is, my art and photography gravitate toward strong shapes, bold expressive colors, and unusual perspectives and crops. They are representative of moments that are important markers in my life and my creative evolution.
My drawings and paintings lean mostly toward the figurative and the medium I choose can vary by subject and ideation. Drawing is most prevalent and at times projects can be mixed with digital such as the Thyroidism project and the Subscription to Imperfection project. These are part of an ongoing commentary on life experiences and society in today’s world.
Currently, I am working in pastel and watercolor media. These new paintings are influenced by my travels and love of the outdoors. I am looking forward to seeing how this new series connects with the bold lines and expressive colors of previous work and how it will connect with viewers.
